Just had some men in a white van shout abuse at me and throw water at me and my baby as they drove passed. Not thinking quickly enough to get reg, is it worth logging with 101 or not?

Yes I think so that's awful and could have been something dangerous they threw do it.. Stop the doing it again

I would yes, hopefully there are cameras about where it happened. Throwing water on you and your baby Sad some people?! If these people will throw water on a baby who knows what else they would do.

They called me a prostitute, shouted stuff about my mum etc.

Yes, baby and I are both fine. Just annoyed.

The police won't be able to do much with your report as you have no reg. However, it's possible that they will do it to someone else who does get their details and they could match up the reports. I would contact 101.

Was going to ask if you know them aswell? Unless it's mistaken identity. Tbh doubt the police will do anything I reported a man in the street who threatened to headbutt me but nothing was done.

You may have left it too late now. Ideally with a moving vehicle it's best to call straight away with road and description.. They immediately call it in to local force who may or may not have a car near by and may or may not be busy.. But that's thier side /business /decision to make

There may be a pattern of attacks that this is part of. Or could be a practice run and next time it'll be acid rather than water or something. I would report it.

Very upsetting thing to happen and also could be quite frightening having liquid thrown on you and/or your child thinking of the acid attacks there have been lately. What on earth could have been going on in their minds to even think of doing such a thing?

With no reg they wont be able to do much, but as a PP said, if someone else makes a report with the reg then they will have your report to corroborate what the other person said.

Also, where were you? Any chance of CCTV?

Thanks everyone. No I don’t know them, just random wankers in a white van!
Have reported to 101 and they have taken it seriously as I was able to give them an accurate time and place. They are sending someone to talk to me. Not sure it will come to anything without a reg (I’m so annoyed) but at least I feel slightly less impotent!

I got hit by a water bomb from a car, while walking down the pavement once. Shat me up. Wasn't nice.

Glad you reported it, and that they are taking it seriously. They may be able to find some CCTV if it was in a public place, then you should be able to identify the reg number.
