What happened to Cherry Menlove?

I used to be on here a lot more when my DS was younger; between 2009 to 2013. One of the greatest recommendations I’ve ever had from Mumsnet was to check out the wankery that was the Cherry Menlove blog. I’ve just thought of it again, but it’s disappeared. All of it. And I’m most disappointed. I’m off work sick and I was planning an afternoon of swilling tea, munching cake and looking at a ponce-tastic blog.

I’ve googled and only found articles from years back, and nothing on social media other than a closed Facebook group. What on Earth happened to her?

Oh I didn’t know her husband was ill... that is sad. Hope he’s doing better now.

She's become a female empowerment coach and MLM recruiter now, she's all over Facebook.

God, that's a name I haven't heard in years! I used to follow her blog about 11/12 years ago.

I use to follow here about 5-6 years ago and quite liked her (please don't judge), as I was going through my homemaker phase.

Now reading the Instamums thread I suddenly remembered her, went to google "what happened to Cherry Menlove" and this thread popped up

Call me a weirdo but I clicked on couple of other links too and one was a link to her limited company accounts. Saying her company was dissolved in 2016. What happened there?

I found her though, she's now under the name of Modern English Country Living, at least on Insta. With a very poncetastic logo.

I know she had a massive row in Starbucks with another female and went bankrupt. I don’t think the 2 were related though.

It says judgement was reserved. I wonder what the conclusion was, and if the other woman won. All that work she put in, and securing a £600k investment, and yet she was only paid just over £4k! I hope she got more in the end.

Was all a bit of a silly PR stunt gone wrong.

I do remember her being ‘aspirational’ about her home, and how like Kirstie Allsop she is in ‘brand’.

I also remember most of her blog type stuff was a smoke screen. Her beautiful house was rented for example. So when she did the garden it honestly looked like she’d played with some my little pony sets out there. She couldn’t make any permanent changes (I don’t think)

I was wondering the other day myself... if she’d just started a YouTube channel back then she’s probably be exactly where she wanted to be now. But it seems they went old media.
