Should I do this?

I had an old friend from school. We were bridesmaids for each other but had a row and fell out. I was in a bad place at the time and didn't behave very well. Its been a few years and I miss her friendship. If I sent her a card just saying hi and I miss her, is that weird? Should I just walk away?

What have you got to lose? I’d give it a try and if nothing comes of it, you’re no worse off

I think that's a great idea, I hope she responds!

You say you didn't behave well. Did you apologise in the card? That might be all it takes.

mailfuckoff · 19/03/2018 11:40

I apologised at the time but it wasn't accepted. It was a bad time all round.

I would send the card saying hi, and you miss her friendship, and you're really sorry for the way you behaved in the past.

do it. you have nothing to lose.
ive had a falling out with my friend and id be over the moon if she did something like that but she wont cos shes a stubborn twat

Update: got nothing back, don't know if card was received or ignored. No update as such, just a line at the end of a friendship

I had a falling out with my best friend. A few years later I reached out and said I was struggling with the end of our friendship. She replied but made it clear that our friendship was over. I didn't have any choice but to move on. To my surprise a few years later she messaged me saying she missed our friendship. Long story short friendship stronger than ever.

Ah well at least you tried and have closure now.
