I've been on Metochlopromide and Cyclizine (both 3 times a day) for nearly 10 years as was a daily migraneur. Migraines have now blessedly stopped but neither my GP nor pharmacist has any advice vis how to safely cease them with no side-effects (or indeed what the side-effects of just stopping them would be).

I'm hyper aware one is a 'head' (IE middle ear type management) med and the other gut based and I find it hard to believe that simply stopping stone dead can be a safe option with no rebound impacts, hence looking for any expert guidance - IMHO Mumsnet always beaten the crap out of asking anyone or anywhere else so I'm hoping that will be the case here.

Am desperate to remove all 'legacy' meds I'm stuck on but equally do not want to make myself ill in the process. TIA Flowers

I am not a doctor but have used these medications whilst pregnant and always reduced gradually to see if symptoms came back , they are not the kind of drugs that would cause withdrawal symptoms more a if you suddenly stop then end up feeling really unwell again then you would have to wait until the meds get back in your system
