To have bad thoughts like this?

That's a fairly misleading title.

Recently broke up with partner and I'm now having bad (really, really bad) thoughts about my ex. We haven't seen each other in 4 years, spoke briefly recently about his little brother and became friends on Facebook again and that's it.

We had a terrible relationship in almost every way but one. Now I just want to hunt him down and throw myself at him.

AIBU to ask you to convince me not to feel this way? I'm out next weekend. I need these feeling to pass before vodka gets involved GinBlush

Don't do it!! I had a shitty relationship with my ex - 3 years of being treated like dirt, but there was always something about him that made me go back, which is exactly what I did when my marriage broke down! Big mistake - I realised he hadn't changed, yet I still wanted him to want me. It's so easy to fall back into old bad habits, bit honestly the best thing I did was make the decision he was a wrong 'un.

@CanIhavedessertfirst

I see what you're saying. What if I really don't want a relationship with him, just like a for old times sake meeting up.

As I'm writing this I know I'm an idiot, there's just something so appealing about such an animalistic, arsehole man.

Maybe I'll save my vodka money and go see a councillor Grin
