Aibu to ask how I get prepared?

I’m having windows fitted next week. They are starting with the bedrooms. How do I prepare? What do I do? Do I have to move the beds out? How does it work?
I’m dreading the mess and inconvenience of it all.

You'll be surprised how quick and mess free it is actually. Just push stuff away from the window area.

IME it really isn't too bad. The fitters are expert at what they do and I found any mess was minimal. They worked from the outside inwards so the worst of any potential grit or dust stayed outside. Clear things off the window sills and move anything directly under the windows so they can access them easily if needed. Then be prepared to put the vacuum round when they have finished. It probably won't be anything like as bad as you are fearing.
