...without an oozy gooey centre to your fondant? Does anybody ever make MasterChef style food? I never do, I don't like 90% of what they make but I love watching them make it all.

I do, the first time I made fondants I followed a recipe and they were perfect I don’t see what the fuss is.

However I’ve yet to master a properly cooked medium rare steak.

My husband makes great chocolate fondants with a perfectly oozy liquid chocolate centre.

I am baffled as to how they determine whether red meat is cooked.

One person serves lamb red and bleeding in the middle, told its cooked perfectly. The next person serves it EXACTLY THE SAME and its raw.

I am sick of bloody fondants, stop it. Just ban them. No more chocolate fondants its just underdone chocolate cake anyway.

Also airs, smears, foams, anything that is 'a twist on' or 'my take on' or 'deconstructed' can also fuck the fuck off.

I agree re: meat being 'cooked to perfection' yet running red on the plate. Every time anyone presents quivering lamb I grin at my OH and say 'thats obviously overdone'. When we eat meat it's always falling off the bone and brown right through. We wouldn't get far on MC

I always think the weird foams and gels look like cerebrospinal fluid leaks.

DH and I take great pleasure in referring to anything with foam as 'scum' and calling it ahead of time. 'Ooh, this looks like it'll have some scum!'
