To think this would be a fun hen do?

I'm getting married later in the year and starting to think about hen/stag dos.
I'm really not the party type and the thought of inflatable willies and a male stripper fill me with dread. I also don't want to travel abroad or anywhere for a big night out - it's just not me.
Most of my friends have a city break and a weekend out of the country for their hen dos and people always fall out / moan about the cost of it all and I really want my friends to have a good time and not dread the invite.

Anyway, I looked online at our 'local' Center Parcs which is an hours drive away and for a weekend (fri-mon) for 8 of us works out at £850 late sept/early Oct.
I appreciate there will be food and drink on top but DP and I have decided to pay £500 towards it so it works out at £350 split between the remaining 7 guests for 3 nights.

I thought we could fill up the cars with booze and food and hit the rapids and the spa and just have a getaway.

Would you be happy with this? We are all mid-late 20s.

I would love that as a hen party

NapQueen · 14/03/2018 19:39

Yup sounds spot on! Id say yes for sure.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 14/03/2018 19:40

God yes. Much much better than a weekend in Blackpool trawling the pubs and clubs. Not that I would go to that.

Caspiana · 14/03/2018 19:40

I’ve been to a hen do at Center Parcs, it was brilliant.

Rarotonga · 14/03/2018 19:40

That'd be amazing!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 14/03/2018 19:40

I’d go 👍🏻

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 14/03/2018 19:40

Double check that they allow same sex groups as lots dont anymore unfortunately, but it sounds like a lovely weekend

Hellohellohowareyou · 14/03/2018 19:41

It would be my idea of a perfect hen do nowadays!

userxx · 14/03/2018 19:41

Sounds perfect. I'd definitely be looking forward to it.

DannyLaRuesBestFrock · 14/03/2018 19:41

Sounds fab

Scribblegirl · 14/03/2018 19:41

We're having a weekend in the country for mine, walks and a quiet pub trip, can't wait.

Yours sounds perfect! But don't tell CP it's a hen do - they ban them due to the inflatable willy brigade. As long as you're not wearing L plates and screeching you'll be fine though Wink

Notahappyexpat · 14/03/2018 19:42

I’ve been on a hen weekend in certer parks as well - was fun! Go for it!,

ididntmeanitlikethat · 14/03/2018 19:42

Great idea OP and a lovely gesture to help with the cost.

Have a fab time xx

Scribblegirl · 14/03/2018 19:43

lovewine I think a single sex group is fine but you can't mention hen or stag afaik.

RedForFilth · 14/03/2018 19:43

I'd love it! If anyone drops out let me know!

ferriswheel · 14/03/2018 19:43

I think its really nice you are contributing to the cost. Id sugest you also keep your eyes peeled for some bargains of fizzy you could co tribute to too.

okeydokeygirl · 14/03/2018 19:43

Sounds great and affordable. Hope it all goes well.

Happybunny1994 · 14/03/2018 19:43

Sounds amazing

Bambamber · 14/03/2018 19:43

I personally don't like a hen do that lasts more than a day, but it does sound like fun. I assume your intended guests are likely to be able to do a weekend getaway without too much hassle?

Merryoldgoat · 14/03/2018 19:44

Can I come please?

Everythingsr0sie · 14/03/2018 19:44

Sounds perfect to me!

RedForFilth · 14/03/2018 19:44

Merryoldgoat ahem im already first reserve!

BollySBK · 14/03/2018 19:45

Yup, sounds fab. Have a great time!! Wine

emwithme · 14/03/2018 19:45

I didn't want a giant hen do so went out for all you can eat Chinese food and lots of wine with half a dozen friends. Was more of a "hen don't" but it was lovely.

LagunaBubbles · 14/03/2018 19:46

Omg that would be perfect.
