To not know how to feel

ExDP pled GUILTY in court today for assaulting me. I was convinced he wouldn't and was being prepared for a trial. I'm shocked. I cried for the first time since all this happened.
Now I feel sad, sad as it's the final thing.
Relieved cos it's over.
Uncertain about the future.
Not knowing how to move on with DS.

I'm so sorry, I've got no advice. I've not been through this but I didn't want to read and run. The only thing I could suggest is getting some counselling to help you get past this Flowers

I think a lot of people feel like that after they have steeled themselves for court. Like it robs them of their day in court and their opportunity to get closure. You might feel better after the sentencing.

No real advice except that tomorrow is day one. Ask for help if you need it and accept any that is offered. Don't be too proud to acknowledge that this has had and is having a huge affect. And give your DS a big hug.

Sentencing has been done. Restraining order, community service and a course to go on.

It will be better. Just different.
Thanks guys x
