Would readers agree that Morrisons F and V doesnt last very long or is it just me?

My Morrison’s fruit and veg last as long as anywhere else. I also shop at Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco’s, MandS, and very occasionally Lidl.

Forevertired19 · 11/03/2018 16:43

It's always got mould on it.
I work for them and every single bit I put through now I check for people.
But I won't shop there myself. I like Aldi personally and not because its cheap

NannyR · 11/03/2018 16:47

I've not noticed that. Occasionally I get something which goes off quicker than I would have expected, but that happens with all the supermarkets. I've had most problems with fruit (esp strawberries and raspberries) going off really quickly with ocado.

Gileswithachainsaw · 11/03/2018 16:47

I've never had a problem witg the fruit and veg from Morrisons it's always lasted pretty well.

Unlike aldi and lidl where it doesn't survive the journey home.

RaspberryCheese · 11/03/2018 16:50

Im being told that Waitrose and M&S for quality and longevity on the F&V.

I dont like going to morrisons, everything seems to be on the last leg there, before i buy it. Dont know if its local sourcing though

VickieCherry · 11/03/2018 16:53

Seems fine to me, we've started shopping at Morrisons in the last year and a half since moving house and haven't noticed any problems. I do think it's sometimes not such good quality as Tesco, where we used to shop, but it is cheaper so...

AntiqueOlive · 11/03/2018 17:01

I have noticed recently at Morrisons that all the use by /sell buy dates are very soon. They don't put out stuff with days and days to go before the sell by date. Therefore you can't buy the really fresh stuff. ( Marks and Spencers have been doing this too)

I think it's to cut down on unsold goods and wastage in the shop.

I think it's store-based. Fruit and veg at my local Morrisons looks good and keeps OK. Don't usually shop more than every 10-14 days, and we eat a lot of veg.

6triesbuttingout · 11/03/2018 17:34

Yes. Deft noticed. Shop at Sainsbury's now

SharkSave · 11/03/2018 17:39

Ours lasts between weekly shops easily. Most of the time it'll go 10 days no bother. Rarely have anything go mouldy.

Snowysky20009 · 11/03/2018 17:58

Agree with you.

Fosterdog123 · 11/03/2018 18:00

Sainsburies and Asda are great. Aldi and Lidl are awful. Their veg always goes off well before the use by date.

FuzzyCustard · 11/03/2018 18:01

Seems perfectly ok and lasts the same as any other supermarket to me.
