God

It's ok, people don't become doctors without knowing the human body comes with all sorts of lumps, bumps and embarrassing excretions :)

At least it will be over with shortly.

lakia10 · 10/03/2018 10:57

Trust it to be there though

I hate the doctors for anything but this takes the biscuit.

It can't be worse than a smear test is it? Or giving birth? Doctors don't feel differently about this part of the body than any other. There are body parts that need investigating, that's all.

If you worry about it, you'll just make yourself miserable and that's just wasted energy. Get it over with it, and pat yourself for actually going instead of letting the embarrassment stopping you go, which is what would make your doctor annoyed.

frasier · 10/03/2018 11:02

Well done for going OP. It will be over soon. Flowers

lakia10 · 10/03/2018 11:04

I thought maybe a cyst that will just go but still there

OP posts:
lakia10 · 10/03/2018 11:04

Already they are late by 25 mins

OP posts:
lakia10 · 10/03/2018 11:05

The agony

LanguidLobster · 10/03/2018 11:06

Do you mean the hard lump cyst thing? I get one every few years, I just assumed it was a gland thing.

Hopefully the doctor will put your mind at rest. Try not to be embarassed and it's overwhelmingly likely it's nothing, just think of it as like taking a blood test. Short, sharp then over.

bettinasofine · 10/03/2018 11:06

Sorry but get over it.

Do you really think they'll care about seeing your bits? They're no different to everybody else's and they're pretty objective when they look at bodies.

Sorry to be harsh but tough love in this situation

AmethystRaven · 10/03/2018 11:08

Imagine how good you'll feel when it's over and it's confirmed as nothing sinister (most probably).

frasier · 10/03/2018 11:08

Next time you see your front door it will all be in the past.

Hang on there!

PaperdollCartoon · 10/03/2018 11:10

It’s just a body, they’ve seen it all 1000+ times before. Nothing to be embarrassed about! I had a cervical examination recently with four people in the room looking up me with what can only be described as a giant camera dildo robot. I know we’re taught these places are private, but doctors have seen far worse and you do really just need to take a deep breath and get over it.

BettyBaggins · 10/03/2018 11:20

Hope your Dr visit went ok Flowers

TathitiPete · 10/03/2018 11:22

If it helps, I felt a lump 'down there' and it turned out to be a varicose vein. Nothing sinister.

BexConnor · 10/03/2018 11:25

I have had 7 abscesses in this area. Trust me, you lose all sense of 'embarrassment' about it, you just want someone to bloody well fix it!

BexConnor · 10/03/2018 11:26

Not trying to scare you with my post, btw - chances are it's nothing at all serious - just trying to put things in to perspective Smile
