Is my mooncup being unreasonable?

Love love love the idea of it, desperate for it to work for me. Can't get the damn thing to unfold!!!

Where am I going wrong??

I've tried the c fold, the one where you punch one side in, and variations of the 7 fold... it says to insert it as low as you can comfortably put it, maybe I'm inserting TOO low?

Also, I find it quite difficult to pull out, even when I've pinched it and broken the seal (although there is unlikely to even be a seal because it won't unfold) it still feels kind of... suctiony(?!) as I pull it out.

Help!

Is it maybe too big for you?

Try running your finger around the rim to break the seal rather than jsut pinching and pulling

Have you had a vaginal birth?

I use the punch fold, and if it doesn't unfold, I pull it down just a little bit and that usually does the trick.

My moon cup has tiny holes at the top near the rim. If these are blocked, it is more difficult to remove. Perhaps try cleaning these with a needle or pin?

I have no idea if it's too big or not, I have had a vaginal birth... but I'm not overweight, I'm in my mid 20s and don't have any incontinence problems so don't think my PF could be THAT bad? I did yoga and light exercise pre baby (must admit I've been a lazy slug since though). Toddler is 14 months. I'm using the larger size..

I find it very difficult to put my finger up around the rim, I have tried. I also find it quite difficult to feel around the cup to see whether it's unfolded or to prompt unfolding.

bridge I can't pull it down without pinching... won't the pinching stop it from sealing?

I make sure the cup is totally clean before inserting, so I don't think it can be that.. unless they're getting blocked in the time it takes to insert it?!

Sounds a bit random but if you think it hasn't unfolded by itself if you jump about it, it will ping into shape.
Sometimes I've not realised that it has not unfolded and suddenly I'll feel thump and you know it's done it- even without jumping about.

Good luck OP. Moon cups sound totally horrific to me but to each their own.

I would personally try inserting it a little higher and let it unfold, See if it feels comfortable and maybe adjust slightly if need be. But then if it's creating a seal it must be unfolding as i didn't think it could create a seal if folded.

Either that or try the smaller size. I know they make recommendations for sizes, but they're obviously very general and won't be correct for everyone

No, it's definitely not, when I put my finger up I can feel the shape of the cup isn't... well, unfolded! Even when I think I've finally put it up right! Doing a dance hasn't made it pop open so far (I've tried that!!!)
