Mother’s Day Flowers

My mum only likes white lilies. I’ve only just found this out after years of sending her flower deliveries for Mothering Sunday and her birthday. Hmm

Anyway, she likes surprise flower deliveries costing £30-£50. I’m seeing her this weekend. AIBU in buying her a bunch of lillies from M&S for the princely sum of £7.50 instead?

Not at all! Buy the cheaper ones. Why should she care how much they cost?

She’s a bit...funny about things!

Marks do lovely flowers..

Was im Marks this morning and they had gorgeous bouquets of various flowers. You could by some lilies and combine with other flowers yourself to make a larger bouquet.

I send my Mum flowers because I live abroad. I wouldn’t pay to send them if I was actually seeing her - that would just be silly.

MotherofDinosaurs · 08/03/2018 17:59

If she wants to be 'funny' about a bunch of flowers that someone's kindly bought her, let her get on with it and don't pander! Ludicrous behaviour, don't facilitate it.

If she dares complain about you buying the flowers she likes then she’s extremely rude and I would be telling her so! It’s the thought that counts...
