leave just after 10 to pick up my dd from my mums house when she was supposed to be staying over night. I've just got up with her and my vision is blurred, I was up until 12am with her now i'm shattered, not good.

You poor thing! Never mind, 10 more years or so and you won't have to do that any more.

LoveMyGirls · 06/05/2007 07:38

If i'd known i'd have to pick her up i wouldn't have got so wrecked. At least I get to go back to bed in a couple of hours when dp will take over.

Am i unreasonable to think my mum could have handled it?

What was it at your mum's, was your dd just not sleeping?

LoveMyGirls · 06/05/2007 08:09

She's not used to staying there but she see's my mum alot but she just wouldnt settle, kept crying.

She wasn't that settled when we got her back here we ended up giving half dose of nurofen and were up with her til 12am

Coffee and a bacon sandwhich will sort you out

whomovedmychocolate · 06/05/2007 08:15

Oh dear. Being screamed at when you are tiddled is bad. Hope she's not still at it now you have a hangover. Maybe your mum was getting revenge for you sneaking in pished when you were a teen?

LoveMyGirls · 06/05/2007 08:18

Usually my mum is really good and would never ring me, hence the reason i got shitfaced. We shouldn't have left her there, it's been a nightmare to sort it all out id rather have not gone than have to deal with dd2 when drunk and then this morning with hangover! I knew my mum didnt really want to do it but there was no one else unless dp had driven and then his mum would have had both girls.

Sympathy to you, hangovers are just awful. Make sure you force yoursefto eat, it real will make you feel better. Burnt dry toast is great as well

sunnysideup · 06/05/2007 08:23

oh well unavoidable I suppose...your mum must have thought enough was enough if your dd had been crying for ages. Agree on the bacon sarnie issue, that will do it for you until your dp takes over.

LoveMyGirls · 06/05/2007 09:26

So what time shall i wake dp to take over? I went up at 8.30 but he was not amused.
I'd like to take this opportunity to say both kids could have stayed at his mums and neither of us would have had to get up if he had driven himself to a football match yesterday instead he wanted to drink whcih meant his mum picking him up which meant she couldnt be at home with our youngest and doing an hour round trip to pick him up. hence the reason our eldest stayed there and our youngest went to my mums.

I'd say.....NOW!

Do it!

How you feeling now LMG?

I was thinking yesterday how nasty it is to have a hangover and feel ill when you've had a drink. Then the neighbours came round and I had a bottle of wine and threw up.

Damn my weak constitution. One glass of wine and I'm anybodys.

Anyway, I feel great today
