I know someone who's forever going on and on about not shopping in "the cheap shops" (stuff like primark) due to ethical concerns and tbf I don't either. Same as I don't buy cheap Chinese stuff - both ethics and concerns about quality. I don't rub this in anybody's face. Some people can't afford to be choosy and others just don't care which is up to them.
However this lady doesn't actually practise what she preaches... she's happy to say "oh I can't believe you bought that think about the workers/environment/another concern" if someone tells her about their eBay or primark bargain and she's happy to rant to me about other people not having the same ethics BUT she'll then do the same herself, and send me links to £1.99 items on eBay saying ooh what a bargain I'll grab one of these, or telling me all about her new £12 primark jacket:
Aibu to be sick of hearing it? Seems to me it's one rule for her and another for someone else. She's actually fallen out with people before for trying to ram her ethics down their throat but she doesn't even follow them herself which makes it even more ridiculous.
Aibu? Just a rant really but I do feel like saying something sometimes
