AIBU to ask about rugs?

Why is it so hard to find a nice patterned rug?

Why are the few ones I find that I like ££££?

What should I expect to pay for a large rug (to fit living room) & any rug shop recommendations?

Oh how rock n roll my life is!

Have you checked out irugs.co.uk? I am eyeing up two on the website though have yet to bite the bullet!

I got fed up of this too. In the end I found a carpet I liked and rang some stores for an end roll and got them to have it whipped - bingo a rug! It cost about £200 all in but it's got about £300 carpet in it.

Red rugs are nice.

This is why I buy rugs second hand I just cannot bear spending £300 or whatever for a rug! Which is what I was looking at for a large rug for my living room.
I bought a few nice second hand ones for £110 total and still have them 5 years later still look brand new.
Sorry I'm no help but it's just what I did in your situation.

Have you checked Ikea? I got a flat-woven navy patterned rug for our dining room for £30 from there. Our deeper pile living room rug was about £80 and still looks great after 3 years and two cats.

Try to find discounted display items!

I got an absolute bargain from John Lewis because it had been on display. I had to grab it there and then (without measuring but luckily I have a good eye!) because it would have gone. Carry your measurements around with you at all times!

I got some White Company nursery furniture this way also. Nothing wrong with it, just put together already so needed a van to pick it up (wouldn't fit in a car).

I like some of the rugs in Wayfair.

At least I’m not alone. Thank you for all the suggestions!
