Been having some awful nights sleep with current mattress and looking for a new one. Can anyone recommend their great mattress?

I can't remember what make it is, but I've got a memory foam mattress and I love it. Was about £300 from EBay

GiBlues · 06/03/2018 19:45

Tempur cloud, it was more than we wanted to spend but well worth the money

Pyjamaface · 06/03/2018 19:46

Premier Inn mattress from Hypnos. I love it

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 06/03/2018 19:48

Ikea Hovag, it was £180. We really wanted the Hokkasen but we couldn’t afford £390 :(

namechange2222 · 06/03/2018 19:49

Eve. It's wonderful but hot so I've put a cotton topper on it

Sweetiedarlingletmein · 06/03/2018 19:50

Hypnos (premier inn) mattress here too. Amazing.

peppykoala · 06/03/2018 19:50

Ikea Hovag for me too, love it!

Stickerrocks · 06/03/2018 19:50

Vi-Spring. It cost around £1500 for a double, but the last one lasted 15 years.

Allthewaves · 06/03/2018 19:51

Mammoth - sprung version

lidoshuffle · 06/03/2018 19:53

Wanted a Tempur one for years (I love the pillows). Bought one and hate it! I like a hard bed, but this has no movement at all, it's like hitting concrete and it grips you.

HaudYerWheeshtBawbag · 06/03/2018 19:56

John Lewis hemp 4000 comfort support

It’s just been delivered, hopefully be comfortable as hell!

We has a memory foam one which we loved at first. After a year it was all sunk in the middle so we'd constantly roll into he middle and wake each other up so will never get another again.

ilovesooty · 06/03/2018 19:57

Just got an Eve. Love it.

FlouncyDoves · 06/03/2018 19:59

Hovag firm. We’ve got 4 of them. Very good value for money.

nong45 · 06/03/2018 20:04

We've got a Leesa memory foam mattress. It's award-winning apparently. I hate bouncy beds they make me feel seasick and on this I don't get disturbed at all by the OH moving around on his side. We previously had a firm pocket sprung Ikea mattress and it was just too hard and unforgiving so we sold it. This Leesa one is firm but also just soft enough to be cosy. It is quite warm to sleep on which is nice in winter. I worried that in summer with my peri-menopausal night sweats it would be too warm but I also got a wool duvet (and HRT) and keep the room cool and it's fine.

The DCs have got the Eve memory foam mattresses which are advertised on the TV. They are slightly firmer than the Leesa but the kids really love them.

The were all reasonably priced and we also got money off offers on them online. They came rolled up vacuum packed in a box and are also quite lightweight so easy to turn.

vampirina · 06/03/2018 20:17

Tempur cloud. Had been in hospital and went mattress shopping, after a few nights bad sleep it felt like a dream. I worried the entire time it was on it's way that we had spent way too much.

But in all honesty it's probably the best thing I've ever bought. No more back ache and sleepless nights. Bliss!

Fishcalledlola · 06/03/2018 20:20

Have the most comfortable mattress, has memory foam on both sides. Would recommend if it's an option. Got it from Bedshed.

Rachael204 · 06/03/2018 20:20

Just ordered a Simba mattress - hoping it lives up to both the hype and the cost!

Oliversmumsarmy · 06/03/2018 20:26

We got all of ours from Carpet Right.

They had the most comfy mattresses.

bookgirl1982 · 06/03/2018 20:37

A mammoth mammoth! No springs so no creaking.

Spare bed has a firm IKEA latex which is too firm!

treeofhearts · 06/03/2018 21:01

Viscool memory foam one from Benson's. Not that expensive around £500 and soooo comfy. Doesnt overheat you like some memory foam and you dont sink in it either. It's quite firm. Had it about a year.

DandelionAndBedrock · 06/03/2018 21:04

Hovag firm here, and I think Ikea do an exchange guarantee thing. I didn't find the more expensive Ikea ones as comfy. I tried a fab tempur one in a store but it was over £1000 and it wasn't several times better than the Ikea one.

WatchoutDSisdriving · 06/03/2018 21:07

Hypnos one from John Lewis. It is the same brand at the ones premier inn use but not sure if it is the same model at all.

£999 last year, by far the most we’ve ever spent on one. It is really good but recently stayed in a new hotel and preferred theirs so now less convinced!

flumpybear · 06/03/2018 21:07

We got a super hard mattress
From mattress man and we have a lovely thick memory foam with bamboo
To help keep cool mattress topper - super firm but super comfy too - sorted my back problems out!

WatchoutDSisdriving · 06/03/2018 21:09

Ours obviously isn’t the premier inn one as i’ve just seen that for £525 compared to the £999 we paid. Ours is exclusive to John Lewis apparently.
