8 week after making applications for DS's tax free child account and DD's tax free child account and 30 hours application and we STILL have no account set up for DD and no account number for her 30 hours to give to her childcare providers.
Excuses in order have been:
- DD's application has never been made.
- DD had 2 applications.
- Technical fault. Sorted in 7 days. (It wasn't)
- DD doesn't exist.
- DS and DD don't have NI numbers (forms part of their tax free account numbers - apparently)
- Technical fault (tell me something I don't know
)
- We'll sort it in 7 days. If not, ring early March and we'll do a manual over-ride.
- Apparently DH is being given a temporary code for the term after Easter.
- The problem IS the 30 hour application.
The DS's account keeps throwing our money back that we paid in. The telephone operator says it's not linked to the childcare provider DESPITE it saying so on the account in front of my * eyes AND we managed to make a 'one-off payment' to her!
Is it just us or is everyone else having same/similar problems?
I was forced into this because my LEA stupidly decided to leave the voucher scheme which they didn't have to on investigation. The voucher scheme only ends for new applications in April, those currently using them could still continue. So my LEA not understanding the implications (as told by my HR) meant not only I was forced out but so was DH! His scheme is still going but because I was forced into this one, we aren't allowed to claim vouchers AND have a gateway account.
I am crying. Literally with frustration.
