Been stuck in the house due to the snow with 12 week old DS who had a cold since last Wednesday

Today we went out a walk with his pram! Just up the main street and to Asda. Oh the joy - it felt good to be alive! And the fresh air, amazing Grin

I love my baby to bits but the cabin fever nearly ended me!

I felt like Braveheart. FFRRRRRRRRRRRREEEDDDOOOMMMMM GrinGrinGrin

I read the thread title as Asia but yeah Asda....pretty cool

WickedGoodDoge · 05/03/2018 15:27

But did you manage to get bread and milk in that Asda? Grin

Haha I feel your pain. I was stuck in the house with my 9 month old who is absolutely lovely but there is a limit to what you can do indoors with a baby. Poor love was probably sick of the sight of me Grin

DS (6m) and I had a thrilling time in Tescos today checking out which items were sold out. So no, YANBU

Fabpinky · 05/03/2018 15:39

I get excited to go to Asda even when I haven't been stuck indoors for a week

EiffelTower · 05/03/2018 15:41

I totally get it! I work from home so get cabin fever an awful lot. I look forward to my grocery shopping day every week. This is my special 'me time' when I allow myself to escape my tiny home office and I get to buy myself things! I realise it sounds sad but getting out of the house is sooo good!

ethelfleda · 05/03/2018 15:42

YANBU - I feel so much better today after I took my (non sleeping) 4 month old out in the car... He slept in the car seat and I went through McDonald's drive through and ordered the biggest coffee I could. Then sat drinking it overlooking a nearby golf course. It was like going to a spa.

Glad I'm not alone!

It's a wee bit grey and miserable here and I was passing people saying "lovely day" while grinning inanely GrinGrin

I’m with fab - Asda is exciting, cabin fever or not Grin

When DD was little we used to go to the supermarket just to get out of the house! Didn't buy anything, just wandered around. She loved sitting in the trolley and looking at everything, and it stopped me from getting cabin fever.

YANBU!

UpstartCrow · 05/03/2018 16:07

I've just been out and its almost warm. almost.

moita · 05/03/2018 16:19

Took my son to rhymetime and for a walk - was lovely to be out. YANBU.

namechange2222 · 05/03/2018 16:25

I asked 4 year old GS if he wanted to go to soft play yesterday as he'd been stuck indoors for almost a week. He said he'd prefer Sainsburys! ( or the orange shop as he calls it)

DenPerry · 05/03/2018 16:42

I love going to the supermarket even when I haven't been stuck in! But only when I'm eating what the hell I like and can be sucked in by all the tempting things. Otherwise it's shit.

Camomila · 05/03/2018 16:44

We went to the playground today. DS and another little boy chased balls around for aages and no one had to wear a snow suit or mittens or freeze half to death. It was lovely.

Vitalogy · 05/03/2018 17:06

Oh the joy - it felt good to be alive! And the fresh air, amazing That's wonderful. Bear
