To wish people would stop asking me how London is?

I'm mostly saying this in amusement, but just the teensiest bit annoyed.
Dp and I moved to the UK several months ago and live in a fairly obscure town. I don't expect family and friends back home to remember the name of the town or where it is in the country, but time and time again both of us have been asked how we're faring in London, how London is etc. even when those same people have asked us previously whereabouts we're living. E.g. one of my closest friends just messaged me and asked 'how's the snow in London?'

Do your family and friends overseas treat London as being synonymous with the entire UK too? I don't really mind as it makes me giggle a little but I don't know whether to correct them or just keep rolling with it!

We moved from Manchester to London in 2000 and we had this for 17 years - how’s London, are you settled in London - didn’t stop until we move back here last year

Some people are just a little dim or terrible at geography. When my SIL informed me that her sister had moved to London and I inquired where, she replied “Norfolk”.

I'm called English daily where I live.
The only time I've ever set foot in England was to fly out via Heathrow.
I'm as welsh as they come...
I just live with the fact that some people are idiots and that'll never change.
