AIBU to feel worried about this?

Hi All,

So it's my 30th birthday and I'm freaking out! Someone just cooked some part-baked bread in our house on an oven tray that had been used for pizza and not washed up (I had nothing to do with that and always wash before putting things away whereas someone just put it away dirty- yeuck!). The problem is that pizza was cooked four nights ago and had mince on it- so did the baking tray and unfortunately the bread!

The mince was very dried up but I and another family member ate some of the bread with mince on before we realised (probably just one or two pieces of mince consumed).

I have OCD included contamination/germ worries and emetophobia (phobia of vomiting) so obviously this is a bit shit- should I be worried that I'm going to get food poisoning now?

Thanks!

It's been baked twice and thoroughly dried out, so is unlikely to be harbouring germs. Beef isn't known for causing food poisoning - I'm not saying it never does, of course, but it can be eaten raw without a problem. I don't think you need to worry.

I can't see any reason for the situation you describe would make you I'll.

You'll be fine.

Smarmydrippings · 04/03/2018 15:53

Ill not I'll

lilabet2 · 04/03/2018 15:56

Great, thanks guys! It's just because the mince was left out on that tray for four days so it's a bit grose and it hadn't been in the oven for several days.

The mince was probably quite dried out, jerky lasts forever!

theuntameableshrew · 04/03/2018 18:34

That’s what I was thinking auditangel, it will be like beef jerky!

lilabet2 · 04/03/2018 18:53

Thanks guys, panic over!
