Remind them to flush the toilet ?

He messages them from downstairs.

They are 14 & 17.

I have refused to use the loo after them in the past due to this.

Just be fucking human beings

The texting is the problem. He needs to do the old fashioned way and bollock them face to face. Why does he text, out of interest?

Dirty protest? Grin Grin

LemonSqueezy0 · 04/03/2018 13:38

That's grim.... Are they disgustingly lazy, or are they demonstrating their opinion of you?

InfiniteCurve · 04/03/2018 14:07

In an ideal world he shouldn't have to text them but its not unheard of teenage behaviour and doesn't ( necessarily) mean they are disgustingly lazy,or not human....
And texting every time might be more effective than bollocking, your DP knows his kids, hopefully.
(My worst in this respect is also the best at leaping up to do chores etc when asked!)

That's my pet hate, people not flushing the toilet. I constantly pull up my DDs about it, and I've regularly nagged my DH about not cleaning the toilet behind himself. Maybe a bit obsessive but I can live with that. My DD2 (6 in the next week) cleaned the toilet herself recently, wanting to show me she could do it.

It might be a different story when she's a teenager though. Grin

Yeuk grim! I had 5 teenagers and that’s no excuse.

Bollock them face to face if needed and you should too. Stop texting that’s wierd.

Get them to clean any loo they leave dirty. You will do them a favour for later life.

Allthewaves · 04/03/2018 15:51

Oh god my 4,6 and 9 yr old boys do this. Iv warned them the next unflushed toilet i find then they are getting rubber gloves and cleaning the whole bathroom.

NurseButtercup · 04/03/2018 15:58

Whenever I read these threads it helps me to understand, why that person I work with regularly leaves the staff toilet in a disgusting state. Confused

Springtrolls · 04/03/2018 16:04

That is grim. I wouldn't be texting them. I would be telling them to their faces.

Theresasmayshoes11 · 04/03/2018 16:08

Exactly you tell them how decent human beings act and flushing, washing hands and checking you have left the toilets clean starts as young as 3/4.. teens should have it nailed. If not they need s bloody good talking to. Mine would have anyway or as Nurse says you raise that person
