To be glad he is going

Three weeks ago me and my husband decided to separate. On Monday he moves out and I will become a single parent to our 3 kids. I can not wait!!!! I know that sounds cruel, he is not a bad man but we haven’t been getting along for so long it’s going to be such a relief to not have all the conflict hanging over me. I think I will be a better mum without him around.

AIBU for not being upset about the end of my marriage?

Yanbu. It is a lot easier to manage without constant conflict. You're not upset now because you're still going through it, after he's left its normal to have some occasional regrets, and to grieve for what might have been Flowers

The children are 10, 6 and 2 (with SEN) obviously he will still be around to see them but it’s a relief that all the pressure to make it work is gone.

I think I'll feel the same when we eventually split. The constant pressure to make it work is draining, so I totally understand where you're coming from.

Good luck OP not that you'll need it! Don't listen to all the single parent doom and gloom propaganda to keep women married to cunts it's bloody awesome! We have some fab ladies on here tonight making excellent decisions!

Thanks all! I thought you would all say I was a cold hearted bitch for not being upset. I am sure there will be times where I miss his company but I am really looking forward to this new part of my life.
