Reading about all that people are going through in this weather, would it be silly of me to ask if you would like to thank anyone that has helped you in this dreadful weather?

I would like to thank my late husband’s workmate, who drove through ten miles of snow to help me when my car broke down. I also want to thank my wonderful neighbour who called in, just to check if I needed anything brought from the shop as he saw me being dropped home in a work van.

I never ask for help, so for people to volunteer shows how wonderful others can be.

I'd like a thank you from the bloke I parked up for and tried to help push his car up an incline to get going again. Had nice chat through open window, and I started to get him moving.
After I suggested trying to very gently pull away in first (rather than gunning it and going nowhere), he rolled backward, kept going, turned around and drove off. Not a toot or wave.
I'd still help again though.

Pushing a car uphill in snow is dangerous, please be cadeful as if it slides backwards you can be run over.

I’d like to thank my lovely dh for always being there to help and take and do. When I’m not able to.
