Banter or awks?

Just met someone and we had a date earlier this week, I really like him but not sure if I fancy him just yet. He replied to my “home yet?!” message saying:

“Yes just got into bed - it’s a big bed though and it’s taking some serious warming up!”

Am I being a prude or is that standard?!? There was chat before it

Sounds factual to me!

HelloFresh1 · 02/03/2018 00:08

Haha I’m being ridiculous I know!

It is bloody cold. I’d just go with banter.

HelloFresh1 · 02/03/2018 00:08

Do I reply flirtatiously?! Sorry I’m new to the dating game after a ltr and getting used to it

that's not too bad. I had a date once with a guy that said he wished he stayed with me so he could kiss me all over. We didn't even kiss on the date! Safe to say there wasn't another date.

HelloFresh1 · 02/03/2018 00:09

He’s taking me to dinner next time apparently and gave me his scarf! So all good

I would just shrug it off with banter back. He obviously really likes you!!

DalekDalekDalek · 02/03/2018 00:16

That's fine. I went on a first date with a guy by the time I woke up the next morning he had text me about a dozen times saying he was missing me. I did not see him again.

TroubledTribble28 · 02/03/2018 00:17

Big beds are a bugger to warm up if you don't have company (for eg, a husband, a small child, a cat and a fat dog Hmm ) so could be banter with just a hint of the flirts?

HelloFresh1 · 02/03/2018 00:21

What’s appropriately banterous?! Sorry I like him and wanna reply. But brain not functioning

If you can't think of anything just send a winky face. It covers everything because people just read whatever they want into it.

Wink

Depends how much you want to lead him down that particular train of thought.

babydreamer1 · 02/03/2018 00:32

'Best get your hot water bottle out 😉'

tinkywinky2018 · 02/03/2018 00:42

I have no idea what this title means!

Anyway, its purposefully ambiguous so you can take it anywhere you want to.

GreyGardens88 · 02/03/2018 00:50

He's just being flirty calm down

SilverySurfer · 02/03/2018 06:15

Depends what 'awks' means. Is it a typo?

SilverySurfer · 02/03/2018 06:18

Sorry, bit slow this morning, just realised it probably means awkward - in which case would go with the wink.

Arapaima · 02/03/2018 06:18

Awks means awkward
