Can’t get travel insurance, any illness is clearly because they’re old and basically invisible.

What do you mean by "cared for"?

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 01/03/2018 22:59

Older people can get travel insurance. What does that have to do with being cared for?

goingatlast · 01/03/2018 22:59

I think that should say 'catered' for...

I too am puzzled .... can you explain a bit more OP ?

GrockleBocs · 01/03/2018 23:02

What's prompted this?

ineedamoreadultieradult · 01/03/2018 23:03

I have an Aunt over 80 who is constantly traveling abroad with travel insurance, she went through a specialist insurer rather than one of the normal ones but it's not that expensive.

DalekDalekDalek · 01/03/2018 23:04

My grandad when to Gambia when he was 82 so you can definitely get travel insurance over 80!
Many illnesses are because they are old - there is nothing wrong with acknowledging the cause of it and understanding the cause of an illness helps with treating it and preventing it.
I agree that not all people treat the elderly with the respect they deserve but I don't agree that they are generally "invisible".
What is your actual point?
