NINE YEAR OLD SAID " NO!"

BLUESEAPARADISE · 01/03/2018 14:24

DS (9) can now say " No!" 😭

Ds is developmentally 9-18 months old and we were told he would never talk however over the past few months he has said the odd word here and there ( including " Mama"😍😍😍😍😍)

Today has has started to say " No!" At it all started at the doctors!

Doctor : " Hi DS are you okay today?"
DS " No"
Doctor " can I take your temperature/ check your ears / hear your chest?"
DS " No"
Doctor " can you give me a Hi- 5 ?"
DS " No" (😳🙈😂)

Lunch time

Me " DS do you want some custard for lunch?"
DS " No"

Naptime

Me : "come here DS and let's change your nappy "
DS " No"

DS HAS SAID A NEW WORD!! We were told he would NEVER talk and he has been saying so many words recently 😭😭

Currently listening to him say " No, No,No" on repeat instead of napping 🙈😍😍😍

Proud Mama... but I got a feeling this word might drive me slightly mad in a few weeks!🙈😂😂😍😍

Bless him Flowers xx

Aw, I remember the "Mama" thread, was so lovely.

Maybe he can have a career doing the announcements for the Dibley Fayre.

MothertotheLordsofmisrule · 01/03/2018 14:27

😂

You may go mad after several weeks but brilliant that he is saying it!

May more words follow - hopefully not embarrassing ones.

Flowers That is wonderful to hear. I am very happy for your family and your clever son. Here's to him surprising you in such lovely ways again and again.

SugarPlumLairy · 01/03/2018 14:28

Aaaaah love him. That's awesome👍 Gotta love that it's no as well 😂
Here's to many more words to come. Xxx

Rainatnight · 01/03/2018 14:29

How fantastic! 'No' is a proper rite of passage, so he's coming on perfectly in his own way. Smile Flowers

SingaSong12 · 01/03/2018 14:34

Wow - I remember the mama thread as well. It's brilliant. Smile. He's a Star

NorbertTheDragon · 01/03/2018 14:46

Awww, I've read your posts but haven't replied before. It's so lovely and brings tears to my eyes.

My DS didn't talk till he was 5, and I cried when he said mum for the first time.

He also used to say "yes" to every question which caused some trouble the time school thought he'd eaten some berries he shouldn't have done (I knew he wouldn't have eaten them but as he was at school they took him to hospital!)

It's amazing, I hope there are many more words to come.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 01/03/2018 14:49

Ahh this is lovely, well done to you both! I read your Mama thread and had a little tear, this one looks likely to go the same way!

I can feel your joy, over the net.😄
Your DS is a little star, wonder what he'll say next ?

ToastyFingers · 01/03/2018 15:09

Ah how lovely! I suppose you'll have to watch what you say now, embarrassingly, as children, my sister and I taught our friend who was only able to say a few things, the word 'poo'. Her parents must have been mortified!

QueenofLouisiana · 01/03/2018 15:11

What a lovely thing to be able to celebrate! Yay!

anotherchangetomyname · 01/03/2018 15:12
