Is my washing machine broken?

All buttons, lights and noises working. But no water?? Is it broken or could the pipes be frozen? If so, how do I unfreeze them safely?

You could go outside with a hairdryer and gently warm the pipes. Needs to be on low though.

Just to add. Probably a big point. Washing machine is in an out building.

Your pipes are likely frozen. My feed to washing machine has frozen due to the pipes briefly being outside house on wall.

Eeek! What am I going to do!? I have loads of washing to do. Can I pour warm water on the outside pipes? Previous owner had wrapped them up in an attempt to insulate them and I haven't had a problem in the 3 years we've lived here. Although we've had quite mild winters.

Top of the pipes are uncovered. I think this may be the issue. I've never had any reason to even look at these pipes before. I think they must be frozen. Fingers crossed they don't crack when they defrost.

Any tips on how to prevent them cracking at this stage?

I'm going to start a new thread regarding pipes as it's nothing to do with the washer itself.
