To still miss my pop

My pop has been dead for 15 years, however today I have been a bit teary and really missing him

Anyone else experience this?

Yes, I do. Lost my dad 11 years ago. Every now and again out of nowhere i’ll get hit with it and get very emotional. The strangest things can trigger it.

Yes absolutely. My mum has been dead seven years and I still miss her and would give anything to have her back in my life.

It never fully goes away, which i see as a mark of how much I loved her and how much she meant to me. But it definitely gets easier. First two years were excruciating and a horrible rollercoaster. Then it eased off a bit and now it's more of a wistful missing her than a pain.
