Terrified to leave house

Sorry for the click bait title

I have recently found some temporary work and it’s from around 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Problem is every time I wake up to go and do it I’m having a mild panic attack just getting to work.

I don’t mind the role itself but I’m not exactly a great fit for the team and have been advised that by the actually team!

Apartntly being polite, asking for more work when there was nothing to do etc makes the rest of the team look bad.

I’m sat in my work clothes at the bus stop just panicking and trying to rationalise it but I just want to go back home.

It always happens no matter what job it is, if we leave the house to go somewhere or just anywhere I just panic and I’m struggling.

My OH has been really supportive but I understand why he might / anyone might see it as me not wanting to work.

I worked for years before and was just fine getting up everyday... what’s change

Help :( what do I do?

I had a job that made me feel like that. I was absolutely miserable. I quit, and moved on to a new one relatively quickly. Life is too short to do a job that makes you so anxious, particularly if it's only temporary.

If you are starting to feel anxious outside of work, you might want to consider a trip to your GP.

You can do it. These people are nothing to you, go in, earn the money and think all day how you are going to spend it and the difference if might make to your life. Big deep breaths, you will be ok.

No advice, just empathy. I've been exactly where you are and know just how you feel x
