That's all.

His silly antics are doing my head in. And I have an ad-blocker.

Is that the stupid bloody thing that's jumping all over my laptop ?

It is very annoying

Absofrigginlootly · 26/02/2018 17:57

I've only seen the trailer but it looked AWFUL, like they've ruined a sweet traditional story by making it all "modern"

And I read a news story on the BBC about a scene where the rabbits fire fruit at Mr MgGegor eventhough he is allergic and ends up having to use a Epi pen and apparently that's comedy?!! What sort of message does that send to children? Make fun of your classmates with food allergies??

The film producers must have been on glue

BettyCatLover · 26/02/2018 17:58

Yanbu.

extinctspecies · 26/02/2018 17:59

Yeah I'm talking about the animation which keeps popping up on MN, not the actual film (which I will never go & see, not in a gazillion years).

Oh I know and sodding pigling bland doing a jig all over the place makes me want a bacon buttie
Peter seems to be getting up to some antics with a flopsie bunny as well hmm

JennyOnAPlate · 26/02/2018 18:00

I'm not not going to see the film all because of the annoying advert. That probably isn't what the makers are aiming for.

Greenteandchives · 26/02/2018 18:01

Oh I love the two dancing at the bottom of the screen. I always have to stop and watch them for a couple of rounds.

APontypandyPioneer · 26/02/2018 18:05

I was never a huge fan, the over dramatic theme tune on cbeebies drives me up the wall but I could tolerate him for the sake a fond childhood memory of the Beatrix Potter books.

However since epipen gate and the pop up ad, I basically want Mr McGregor to by a rabbit trap and put an end to his jolly japes once and for all .

Rabbit pie anyone?

balinesecat · 26/02/2018 18:05

Peter Rabbit is nothing but a criminal and a vandal.

APontypandyPioneer · 26/02/2018 18:06

*buy not by. All the rabbits fault obvs.

MyRelationshipIsWeird · 26/02/2018 18:07

Scared the shit out of me the first time, I thought it was a spider or something!! Bugger off bunny.

Nikephorus · 26/02/2018 18:07

I love it - it makes me smile.

Yorkshirebetty · 26/02/2018 19:24

I'm with you, greentea! I love the two dancing bunnies at the bottom of the page! The film looks funny and not too sentimental to me, but I don't know, I haven't seen it.

Seniorcitizen1 · 26/02/2018 19:31

If you mran the film with the stupid allergy scene then I agree. But not the books - loved them as a child and reading to my son - can’t wait to read to future grandchildren

nooka · 26/02/2018 19:32

As far as I'm concerned the new film and anything that promotes it is not Peter Rabbit. I loved Beatrix Potter growing up and very much enjoyed sharing the books with my children and then watching the BBC adaptations which were lovely, faithful to the writing and the art with excellent music and voice acting.

The film looks like a total bastardization, totally devoid of the spirit of the stories, just a load of cruel unfunny slapstick.

So yes the animation at the bottom of the screen is irritating.

cloudyweewee · 26/02/2018 19:34

I love the little rabbits dancing!

extinctspecies · 26/02/2018 20:47

Even if the film was a masterpiece (which I very much doubt, but I'm not going to find out), the dancing bunnies still make me want to throw my laptop on the floor and stomp on it.
