Bit of background first. My exh has always taken dc on foreign holiday simply because he can afford it. I can't. So he always took them and they've enjoyed them. However on the last 3 holidays there have been incidents of dv between exh and his partner (his partner glassed him) and then exh threatening my 15yr old dd. She ended up ringing me at 1.30am from Greece crying and upset and wanting to come home. As a result dd refused to go back and see him at all. So he tried to plan a holiday for this year and I absolutely refused to let the 2 younger dd's go. He is now taking me to court so that he can have permission to take them abroad and have increased access. Does anyone have any experience with dv and how it affects access or any opinions on this issue? Also there have been other reported incidents of dv at exh house.

I don’t have experience of this but it sounds hard. Do you have a solicitor? Were any of the incidences of DV recorded and how old are the youngest two?

The youngest 2 are 13 and 10. Yes there have been 2 incidents of dv reported and yes I've got a really good solicitor. In fact I've been to see him today.

Get the 15 year old to write down every incident that she can remember in detail, I know it’s hard but there is no way she should be around someone who would glass a man in front of his own children

I don't know the solution to this but just wanted to say you are doing absolutely the right thing by removing your daughters from that situation. I hope it all works out for you.

Yeah you need to get your DD tell the court why she doesn't want to go on holiday with him anymore
