Rustic tropical beach bars.

First of all, apologies to the MN Mods. I'm well aware that this topic belongs in the travel part of the forum. However, I recently posted about visiting Dubai or Oman, and someone else has posted on here about Kenya. Its just that AIBU gets a lot more passing traffic than the travel part does.

Anyway, I love beach bars, not any old beach bar, more the rustic knocked together type bar. As long as the sea is warm, the sand is white and the beer is cheap and extra cold, for example:-

Anyway, AIBU to ask you to tell me about your favourite tropical beach bar and also if possible to provide me with a link.

I love a tropical beach bar. Here's a good one, although I haven't been since the hurrIcane.

This is attached to a motel in St Pete's postcardinn.com/food-drink/beachbar-poolside but it was just gorgeous. Agree with you, I love a chiringuito with an ice cold beer, some olives and dish of salty almonds. Bliss

Floyds pelican bar in Negril Jamaica. It’s in the sea so you need to organise a boat to get there

I hated the soggydollar, way too busy. i stopped at Hendos right next door, literally 10 feet from the soggy dollar. No crowds at the bar, service really quick and friendly. The soggy Dollar is too well known and packed all the time.
Foxys and Ivans on the BVI are wonderful as is Bomba's. Willie T's is not exactly a beach bar, its an old boat in the bay, but is also a whole lot of fun.
There are so many on the BVI, little places with no name. I LOVE it there. Its my happy place

Jacks Shack in Grand Turk. The best cocktails, menu is whatever they throw on the barbie! Jacks a great host and every cocktail comes with a story, his dog Topher has become legendary among customers- one of the best places I’ve ever been to.

The Time The Place in Jamaica was the epitome of a rustic beach bar with really basic huts you could stay in, think it’s been taken over by developers now, such a shame, it was stunning

I’ve not yet had the pleasure of a rustic beach bar but fancy stumbling across the one where Bond was racing Scorpions whilst in exileSmile

Cheers user. I wasn't sure whether or not 'rustic' was the correct term to use but you understand me exactly. These 'shacks' are usually part of a complex of beach huts.

user if you ever get the chance to go to Jacks Shack then do. Most people head to massively overcrowded expensive Margaritaville but another 20 minutes along the beach and it’s perfect. Jack was an engineer who went there to build the cruise terminal and never went home - he lives my fantasy life!

EnglishGirlApproximately · 26/02/2018 21:51

I’ve thought of another one - Lazy Days on Grande Anse Beach Grenada. $2 beers, jerk chicken and beach waiters who bring your drinks into the sea for you Grin Lethal cocktails all sprinkled with cinnamon and a fab beach busker who makes up songs about the customers

I’m pretty sure they don’t have a website or anything high tech like that but I’m sure they’ll be mentioned in reviews. Rum punches there are amazing!

Yep, just checked on TripAdvisor. Looks amazing, thanks.
