Pain in left side

To ask what could be causing an intermittent pain in my left side?

It feels like the kidney pain I had some years back (an infection that landed me in hospital) however I was just at the doctor and a urine sample ruled it out. It's realistically too high to be anything ovarian. Nothing is horrid or different regarding the loo. I've noticed it's bad after cheap red wine but apart from that I can't see a pattern. It's my left side, not left looking straight on. I'm normal weight and decently fit. Anyone any ideas?

I was thinking kidney pain. Wondering if you have a kidney stone. Do you have any nausea, faintness, sickness? Is the pain hideous?

Possible endometriosis is other thing that came to mind.
Didn't the GP have any thoughts on it?

GP said something about possible 'inflammation' but she also said that if it were stones I'd know all about it, which I believe. And as I've had no bowel changes, it shouldn't be sinister. I'm not convinced.

Same side as my left hand. In the middle between rib cage and hip.

Left upper quadrant could be lots of things, to be honest. Your stomach sits there, and if you noticed a correlation with cheap wine, have the doctors thought of stomach ulcers and/or acid reflux?

Possibly bowel pain, i get it when im constipated, or wind pains,usually left side,can be high up or low down

Could it be pancreatitis? That can cause pain in the left side and can be connected to alcohol consumption.

Stress/anxiety? I'm not sick much re food but I get anxiety nausea fairly often?

I'm not much of a boozed and wouldn't be a heavy drinker at all.

Could you be pregnant? I had an ectopic pregnancy that started off as a dull pain in my side.

Nope, I'm in a same sex relationship so anything like that is out. No period problems either.
