Wish me luck - I'm going into battle (Lighthearted)

So, snow is forecast and it's going to be Siberian style cold.

I'm going into battle, I'm being very unreasonable.

Tomorrow I am expecting my year 7 to wear a jumper and coat to school.

Wish me luck!

What are my chances? Anybody joining me in this?

I've already started this battle with a teenager who wanted to wear jeans with multiple rips and a tank top. Good luck OP

Best of luck with that. My year 7 probably won’t require persuading. His year 9 brother, on the other hand.....

I think what boggles me the most is that I often find the 14yo in two jumpers, hoodie up in the house, during the day & he will moan about being cold if I ask why. But wear a jumper to school? Never. Either school ties are deceptively warm, or his thermostat is broken.

Any suggestions of warm clothes are met with complete scorn aren't they?! Mind you I remember going out in just a t-shirt and jeans in mid-winter when I was a teen My children will never be told this

My three year old is like this. I had naively assumed he'd grow out of it, but he's a warm body like me.
He gets chilly fingers and that's about it. DH and I disagree about how many layers he needs. Preschool days input him in less as they keep the temperature quite high, but DH is always forcing him into vests, long sleeved t-shirts and chunky jumpers. I go to pick him up and he's either very rosy cheeked or has thrown a paddy and stripped off. I just know he'll be the teenager walking to school in the frost with a short sleeved shirt and no coat.
It's a good job that a chill really is a totally fictional illness.
