I’ve just watched my 3 years old clear a plate of chicken wings and it’s just occurred to me the bollocking I have my husband last night for letting her have a chicken leg because of the bones Blush

I’m a crazy person aren’t I?

What age did you stop taking chicken off the bone for the kids?

And I’ve just realised this my second chicken related thread this week Grin

topcat2014 · 24/02/2018 18:48

DD is 11 and will only eat the plainest pieces of white chicken breast not helping

Mari50 · 24/02/2018 18:48

I must be a really shit mum because i’ve never taken chicken meat off the bone for my dd.
Halving grapes yeah. Watching salt content yeah. But not done the chicken bones thing.....

I can’t think that much harm would come of giving a child over 12 months a chicken leg to chew on at a barbecue or similar.

NotUmbongoUnchained · 24/02/2018 18:49

Oh really?

You’d give bones to a baby?

My dc were gnawing at chicken legs from about 11 months, no harm ever came to them. It's a pretty big bone tbh to choke on.

Ohyesiam · 24/02/2018 18:52

About 12 months.
