To ask for your help to find a bra

It's impossible. I'm currently needing a 44G bra. I used to be 36G but post children I find bras so uncomfortable that even a 42 back seems tight (I'm also a bit of a fatty at the moment but working on that) I cannot find a 44G underwired bra anywhere. Bravissimo only go up to a 40 back, m&s do 44 backs but only non wired. I've tried to wear a 42G but the 1 bra I found only went up to an F cup in 42 back! Help me please my 1 remaining bra that does fit is ready for the bin.

I don't have a bloody tape measure! Just had a look round the house because I want to measure myself right now and we've only got the solid metal tape measures!

Have a look on www.simplybe.co.uk they do a range of bras up to a 58 back and an L cup. They don't actually have a 44GG but they have 42GG/46GG. Best of all you can order a selection of sizes & styles and try then on at home.

Fishfingersandwich3 · 24/02/2018 16:11

If you don’t have a tape measure, use a piece of string and then measure that on the solid measure!

CakeAndChocolate · 24/02/2018 16:14

Or if you haven't got string, do you have ribbon for wrapping presents?

bradilemma · 24/02/2018 16:16

You lot are bloody amazing! Genuinely did the boob or bust and this is what it came out at! And I found a fabric tape measure in my sewing box in the end.

I'm in need of a re measurement and am having the same problem! Only can find a metal one. Can't find any string or anything long enough

bradilemma · 24/02/2018 16:17

36J is insane! I can't see that I'd fit into a 36 back but I guess the cup size makes it achievable. Off to Google for 36J bras thank you

Oh hurrah! You will need to try a few different styles. See which one suits you. And don't be afraid to try up a cup or whatever. No more 44s!

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 24/02/2018 16:18

Don't forget when you try on or wear a bra to scoop the whole breast into the cup

glitterbiscuits · 24/02/2018 16:22

Try getting bras from Freeman's. The catalogue company but you can buy direct online. They have great range of sizes.

CakeAndChocolate · 24/02/2018 16:28

Definitely get a few different styles, as some come up big/small and others will just be more comfortable for your shape. If I were you I would order several online (somewhere that has free returns) so you can try on at home and with different tops.

Fairylea · 24/02/2018 16:34

Yay! Bingo Grin

Bravissimo have a sale online at the moment. Might be worth a look!

Tainbri · 24/02/2018 16:43

Evans might? Tending to agree with other posters though. I buy bravissimo 36HH - I buy size 18/20 tops Blush

DunkandEgg · 24/02/2018 16:51

Way hey! A 36. No more frantic searching for a 44 anymore OP. Things will be so much easier now.
After I measured myself, I went to figleaves site and ordered a bulk of bras in my "new" size, with a cup size up and down along side it. Ie 30h was what I measured, but I also ordered 30gg, 30hh, and 32g, 32(cant remember the sister size of this one!) etc.
As it happens, 30gg, Freya, in a full cup style fits me like a glove.
I paid for my order via PayPal, chose express delivery, selected "pay after delivery". It came next day, quick try on, and I was able to repack and send back the bras before the payment was taken out of my account. Handy because I couldn't really afford to pay 200 ish quid but neither was it possible to visit a lingerie shop anytime soon either. So...
Happy underwear shopping!

I don’t know why I love these threads to much but I really do Blush

Good call on the 36J prediction Fairylea.

bradilemma · 24/02/2018 16:56

Try Marisota they offer bigger band/back sizes.

bradilemma · 24/02/2018 16:58

Wow in a missed a lot of updates. I've just ordered a bulk load of bras to try from brastop but I'll also try figleaves that's a good call and bravissimo. Thank you all

Oh I hope you get such a well fitting bra! Let us know how you get on.

Theresahairbrushinthefridge · 24/02/2018 17:09

Bravissimo s customer service are amazing. So if you need help fitting when your bras arrive call them. I have never been to a bravissimo but bought all my bras thru them for 15 years. I even called them about my daughter who is a tiny cupsize after a horrendous m and s experience. They advised me where to go with her.

BumpowderSneezeonAndSnot · 24/02/2018 17:13

The shops are better than online. I've never had such wonderful staff helping me with anything than i did at bravissimo
