AIBU to be annoyed when someone send s a private message here to ask a question, I take the time to offer information and advice in a considered reply and they don't reply to say thanks. No response at all. It happens to me quite a lot on MN.

I mainly read MN from the app on my IPad and I don’t get any notifications of private messages unless I use the PC.

If someone has PMd you with a question then they're expecting an answer & therefore will be checking to see if you reply i.e. they'll know you have. So yes, they should say thank you. It's just polite. Unfortunately lots of people these days don't bother. I get it a lot work-wise. Pisses me off a treat.

Someone once pm'd me but i didnt see it for months... i was mortified

It's only happened to me once before but yes, I agree it's rude not to say thank you. I assumed it was a one off but sad to see that's not the case.
