To heave at wet bread

Bread fell in the washing up bowl, while full.

I was heaving taking it out.

Even the thought of wet bread makes me feel sick!

Is it ridiculous or does anyone else find this genuinely disgusting.

Yes, wet bread is disgusting, it can put me off bread and butter pudding sometimes thinking it's swollen wet bread.

Don't find it disgusting, but then I'm used to making bread sauce, açordas, migas, summer pudding, eggy bread and various other recipes which involve soaking bread in milk, water or other liquids (sorry if reading that made you feel unwell)

There again, a lot of people have irrational reactions to all sorts of unlikely things, so I wouldn't call it ridiculous.

Omg I feel exactly the same I thought it was just me! Mine goes back to being a child and my drink spilling in my lunchbox on to my jam sandwich and still being made to eat it 🤮

Me! I’m the same! The thought of it is making me shudder.

Also touching wet wool out of the washing machine literally makes me gag and the hair stands up on my back. A bit irrational!

Wet bread is disgusting. I also can't bear the feeling of wet wood (hur hur), so washing wooden spoons makes me cringe.

Bread and butter pudding or soggy sandwiches are my worst nightmare. It's just wrong.

Don't mind dipping bread in soup, that's yummy. Don't like soggy bread from a sandwich filling but it doesn't gross me out as much either. These things seem different.

Properly wet bread with water is gross, you are right. Also my toast has occasionally soaked up juice from scrambled eggs until it was all floppy, and that revolts me too. (I can't seem to make basic eggs anymore.)

Bluerghh that's so horrid OP wet bread must be one of the most disgusting textures on earth. On my school 'bonding weekend' in upper third we had a games night with a series of challenges, keeping a piece of wet bread in your mouth for the longest time was one of the competitions. I was heaving just watching the other girls put the soggy bread in their mouths.
