They don't even live there, well one does but the other two belong to our neighbours parents and they are babysitting today. I am MNing in the Garden and every time ds or I move they yap and yap for the next 10 mins. GRRRR.
Would you say something to the neighbour?

I am not usually murderous toward animals by the way

Water gun

not unreasonable at all, but unfortunately this iseems to be a nation that prefers pets to humans so don't expect anything but a sarky response from neighbour

tombley · 03/05/2007 13:16

Water gun is a very good idea

There is a small knot hole in the fence about snout height that they like to look through so they are going to get a little surprise.

Thanks you have probably saved me from an argument with the neighbours or arrest by the RSPCA.

Don't get me started about yapping dogs. Now the nights are warm, my neighbours leave their jack russel out from 6am to 3am the next day. And it barks 99% of the time. It makes you murderous don't you think?

Well done for not commiting canineocide so far. At least ours only visit a couple of times a week.

Just try and remember that it is the owners who are at fault not the dogs - they have not trained the dogs properly and they are being unreasonable by letting them bark for so long and leaving them on their own so long. I don't know why people get dogs if they do not have the lifestyle which allows them to be at home enough.
You ANBU by the way.

handlemecarefully · 03/05/2007 17:22

Yes you are being unreasonable - 2 of the dogs are not normally there, so you should be able to tolerate the yapping for one day since it is an isolated occurrence. I think we are all getting far too over sensitised to noise....

Perhaps your neighbours don't like the sound of your children playing in the garden? ( I know my children whoop and holler - although not excessively, just normal zest for life - in the garden, but I would be thoroughly peed off if my dog owning neighbours complained)

Give and take - etc
