to ask what do hermes delivery do if not in second attempt to deliver

Missed delivery today. Online it says they will make a second attempt tomorrow. Likely I will be out at that time. I haven't listed a safe place. What happens next?

Hermes claim to try 3 times then return to sender

They try 3 times and then return the package. You can't rearrange the delivery so you just have to hope you're in the third time

Had a bad experience with them before so not hopeful. Stupid shower.

Don't understand why companies use them.

Expect you to be in all day long for days waiting on them

Hermes are fucking awful. Twice I’ve lost packages because they’ve claimed to have left my parcel ‘securely in my porch’ - I don’t have a porch. Just a door, the a short path to the street. If you can, leave a note on the door telling them to leave it somewhere that might be considered safe, like your recycling bin if that’s out front.

I'm in a block of flats so they won't get in entrance. Could leave a note on entrance asking them to leave with one of the other neighbours. Do they attempt on a Saturday?

Hermes put my parcel in my black stinky rubbish bin and it got collected by the binmen before i found the card crumpled in a heap stuck between the 2 flaps of my letterbox xx

Hermes are a festering pile of shit. I had an email notification whilst away that a package I had been waiting an age for was "put through letter box". We didn't have a letter box. The fuckers had got access to the building and left it on the door step out side my flat. Luckily our lovely neighbour brought it in before it was nicked. There is no way to speak to anyone at Hermes . I submitted an email complaint with proof that their delivery person had lied and got an email saying "no they hadn't".

As a rule of thumb I will not ordering something if it is a Hermes delivery. I got caught out thought I would be okay as it was delivered to my mum's. Nope. They left £500 worth of goods out in the pouring rain by the side of the road. Didn't knock and didnt put. Note through the door.

My Hermes guy is great. He's stopped me outside the Dc's school 3 times now, asked if I was going to be back home in 30 minutes or would I like my parcel now

Hermes are shit! they say that you can contact the driver on the missed delivery slip but it's invariably blank. When they show up a third time (probably during working hours just to make sure you won't be there) they will send the package back to the sender. If you call them to ask who the sender is as you've been waiting for more than one item they refuse to tell you!

In my experience with Hermes, on the FIRST try if you don't get to the door in 1 nanosecond, or are out, they chuck it in your bin.

They say that they try x3, my experience is that they try once then don't bother, I've had 2 parcels returned when they allegedly couldn't deliver, despite my daughter being in both times.

Well, my first encounter with them was last year some time. Watched delivery van pull into my road. Awaited bell to ring (can't let him in without buzzing him in when he rings bell) and couldn't see van as was at side of flats. Driver buzzed off and I get notification that a failed attempt at delivery was made! Fucker hadn't even tried!

Anyway, I was in when the guy arrived today thankfully. Such stress!
