That's it really. An example is on the roads letting someone out of a junction and having the favour returned used to generally balance out ok now it's just so rare now. It's all aggression, just pulling out in front of others putting people at risk and then usually a load of abuse if they do not have immediate right of way. This applies equally to male and female drivers, I have to say the most vile abuse came from a woman with children because she had to wait an extra few seconds while I reversed into a bay at the supermarket. It seems to be everywhere in life at the moment and after recent experiences it's just getting me down.

Not mine either and I work in the NHS. The great majority of people are pretty pleasant really.

Maybe I'm a little over sensitive at the moment or it's the move from the North to the South Coast but that's how I feel, happy to hear more positive experiences that will restore my faith a little.

Where do you live?

I'm in the North East of England and don't find that at all. You get the odd one that doesn't say thanks after letting them out.

It's not necessarily confined to that area of life but I found that an easy example to illustrate what I was feeling. We just feel less kind, courteous and patient with each other in general. I work in front line services and the level of respect and kindness from the most vulnerable often outweighs that many other people I interact with on a daily basis.

I think when you are down you notice the bad. The bad is definitely in the minority but it can take on an importance that outweighs its frequency.
