Just read on another thread 'if something happened to my current dp i would not be in a hurry to fill the vacancy' and thought... I think i would! Because i feel like there must be someone else out there who would be less work to be in a relationship with. Where things wouldn't feel like a minefield. Just gad the horrible realisation that if anything happened to my dh, i would feel a sort of... Relief?
I think i am bu. And will feel horrendoes if anything actually does happen to him.
But does anyone ever feel the same? That their lives would be easier without dp?

To be honest, if you feel like that then your relationship must not be very good. IMO that's not a very nice thing to say.

No not me. I don’t think that’s good OP. I think I would be single for a very long time if something happened to DH, no one would measure up.

I know its a horrible thing to say! That's why i haven't said it to him!
No it's not a very good relationship atm. I have hopes that this is a bad patch and it will be again. And i dont mean that relief would be the only thing i feel. But i suppose I'm hoping for people to say yes they've felt like this and yes bad patches do pass

Sounds like you need to seriously consider whether you want to stay with him

It was me who said that. I quite like the idea of a single life, doing what I want, when I want without considering anyone else. It's not a tribute to my husband!

I read on here about mental load and people saying you dont realise how much better you'll feel without him as although you'll still be doing it all, you won't be cleaning up his mess/stressing about all the thongs he doesn't do. We are trying to change the dynamics in our marriage away from this, i just had that thought and realised how bad it had got i suppose.
