Have just seen this story

And it has really shocked me. I went to Louise Reay's show last year and she came across as 100% sincere and genuine when suggesting that she had been in an abusive marriage. And now it seems it isn't true?? There was no suggestion in her show that it was a joke, it was very different to the other parts where she was clearly in character. My best friend and I were so affected that when we came out we made a donation to woman's aid (which I don't regret at all, but I feel really manipulated!!)
If she was now saying that the marriage had been abusive and her show had been truthful I would have supported her 100% but she seems to be saying that she didn't call him abusive at all, and she definitely did! Unless the truth is that he was abusive but because she is being sued she feels like she can't keep saying so?
Don't know how to feel, except manipulated that we were put thought such a raw and emotional performance that was apparently a lie...
