touch you, in a way that seems like an accident, but can't be every time iyswim.

Is it not a rule of ettiquette that if you don't know someone well you don't do this?

Eurgh... 'accidentally-on-purpose' touching is really weird and unpleasant. Definitely a no-no, especially if it's meant as an overture.

NotQuiteCockney · 03/05/2007 07:00

This is a cultural thing, IMO. In some cultures, physical touch isn't as taboo as it is in the UK.

OK, if someone's doing it because they fancy you, it's really horrid, but otherwise, it may just be normal for them?

electra · 03/05/2007 08:47

it seems to be whenever they pass me something. is odd imo

men or women? I don't mind being touched generally, unless it's somehow sleazy.

GreebosWhiskers · 03/05/2007 08:53

It's even worse when you're pg & your bump becomes everyone's property! I worked in a huge call centre & didn't mind people in my section patting my belly but it was damned annoying when people I'd never clapped eyes on before did it.
