My mum (very kindly) took Dd (3 y.o. )(out today.
They come back at 6
Me: 'does she need dinner?'
DM: 'Oh, I shouldn't think so'
Me: So you had some dinner
Dm: Well, not as such, we've kind of been eating all afternoon
Me: Like, what kind of 'eating'
Dm: Oh, you know, carbs and dairy

Me: more precisely......
Dm: oh, a chocolate croisant, a very nice juice an ice cream... and then she didn't want any tuna sandwich so I got her another ice cream

Now, I know it was out of consideration for my tiredness - but:

AIBU to be rolling on the floor laughing?

No. YANBU. A valiant attempt by your mum to pull the wool over your eyes
