To be so stressed with passport forms...

Hey, I've just realised my forms are no good as there are more than 3 character errors made so I've started again. I've filled them in online this time and have paid. Just got to print the declaration and get the countersignatures done again. My question is: Does the countersignature date have to match up with today's date? Or can it be dated the day it has been countersigned? Thanks in advance.

The countersignature has to be on or after the date the forms were done, within a month.

I've filled them in online today so will I be ok to tell my countersignature person to put today's date on when I go to them during this week?

Yes, as long as they are OK with that.

If they insist on putting the date on that they sign, then its still OK.

Thanks. I've got two signed already but they have the 30th Jan dated. Will I need new photos?

I had to renew my children's passport a couple of weeks ago.
I did them online but called the helpline to check a few things, they said I had to sign and date the forms on the same day as the person that countersigns the photo's and form.
No idea if they were correct or not but I did it that way anyway.
I submitted the forms and paid online on a wed, got all the forms signed and dated the next day. posted them off to arrive the following Monday and received the new passports 3 days later on the Thursday morning.
