What should I do?

Scheduled lunch today with old friends I haven't seen for ages. Two bringing their young kids with them. My DC both started with a sickness bug (presumably) overnight. I am fine but am I likely to be carrying this nasty bug around with me? If I am I really don't want to pass it on to my friends and especially not their kids but not really sure how these things work.

Should I stay or should I go?

I would still go.

Stay or at the very least tell them beforehand and give them the option to cancel if they don’t want to risk exposure. If they’re not bothered then it’s fine to go but I’d want the choice to either stay at home or leave the kids at home.

Let your friends decide.

Touch wood I don't usually catch my kids bugs. So I would be ok to go but would leave it up to my friends to make the call.

For me - If it was a certain friend (her kids get a lot of sickness bugs and she generally gets them too) and she gave me the option, I would reschedule.

I'm an emetophobe though.

Thanks for the replies, I will ask them what they want me to do, you're right that is the best thing.
