To not be able to shake the mood...

When you watch a film.

If I watch something dark and deathly like les mis or Sweeney Todd - I get really stuck in a dark mood for the rest of the day.

Same if I watch a superhero movie that promotes empowerment then I get stuck in an empowered mood all day.

But it's like being stuck in 'movie mood' not regular everyday living mood... does this make any sense at all?

Does anyone else feel like this?

Yes!

I watched Eye In The Sky about a year ago and I'm still pissed off about it.

I don't usually get sucked into films as I always too aware it's just people acting. (Get proper emotional about animated characters though. Remember Fry's dog on Futurama? OMFG, my heart!)

But that got to me. No idea why.

I know what you mean, especially if it's a movie at the cinema it definitely sticks with me for the day. I find the same with music, can totally take me somewhere else and change my mood. I embrace it tbh.

I try to embrace my emotions as much as I can (accepting all the good and the bad won't last so try not to get too worked up over it) but I have depression, ocd, anxiety, agoraphobia (yes it's a splendid cocktail of mental instability! Confused) which are actually pretty much all under control but if I watch something dark then I am stuck in dark mood but I really love those films and don't want to have to stop watching them. 😬
