I remember playing a tetris clone in around 1997 that had Mozart symphony number 40 as the backing track....any ideas what it was called?

Columns on the Sega Game Gear?

Morphene · 17/02/2018 22:14

Thank for the suggestion but no......It was either a dos or a unix game...or maybe very early windows...not sega or atari or anything like that...

Musaic Box?

LavateLasManos · 17/02/2018 22:51

Actually I think that might have been too modern. The only other one I can find with that music is possibly OutNumbered but I think that was general puzzles rather than Tetris style ones

SheilaTurnip · 17/02/2018 22:55

Bonecruncher? Used to play it on a BBC computer.

Morphene · 18/02/2018 11:20

Unfortunately that's not the right music...also it was definitely a tetris type game.

Did it look like this?

DailyMailareDicks · 18/02/2018 11:29

Attachment fail! No idea how to fix!

JacquesHammer · 18/02/2018 11:35

Outnumbered?

e1y1 · 18/02/2018 11:54

7 colors

couchparsnip · 18/02/2018 12:26

If you skip to 1:56 in Sheila Turnip's link that's definitely Mozart's 40th.

couchparsnip · 18/02/2018 12:28

And what format was it on? PC? Amiga, Atari etc.

Notlabeled · 18/02/2018 14:02

Klotz?

scottishdiem · 18/02/2018 14:45

Nyet III

Morphene · 20/02/2018 00:28

I think it was a DOS game....maybe a bit later than the aforementioned 1997..maybe more like 2000....

At 1.56 it isn't on mine..it starts at 2.12....anyhoo...yes it is the right music but definitely not the right game which was a tetris clone. 2 player lots of lines being thrown over to the other team. We thought it was called Ultris but that doesn't actually appear to have had music....
